As of JUL/AUG 2025 my turn-around time is
Edge-to-Edge: 6-7 weeks
Custom: 6 - 9 months
Holiday Dealine is Oct 1
Pricing
There is a $40 fee for a rush job if you need your quilt faster than my quoted turnaround time above. If you'd like to avoid a rush fee, please text and let me know when you have a quilt coming. You can be in the longarm queue while finishing up your quilt.
There is a $50 minimum for all longarm projects.
I accept Cash, Check, Venmo, or Zelle
Edge-to-Edge quilting is $0.025 per square inch.
Combination quilting (separate border work or trimming around qpplique) is $0.04 per square inch
Custom quilting (quilt, borders, sashing, etc. are all separate) starts at $0.05 per square inch
To calculate the cost of longarming use the following equation:
length of quilt (in whole inches) x width of quilt (in whole inches) x .025 for edge-to-edge
For example, a throw-sized quilt that measures 60" by 60"
60 x 60 x .025 = $90 (not including tax, batting, or additional services)
Preparation Requirements
If your project does not meet these requirements there are two options: I can fix it, if possible, at a rate of $40 per hour or, you can pick up your quilt and bring it back to me once it's ready. I will move on to other quilts in the meantime and work your quilt in when it comes back to my studio.
If your quilt does not have borders please do a stay-stitch seam all the way around the perimeter of your quilt at 1/8". This is also known as a "Victory Lap" and helps to prevent your seams from opening along the edge of the quilt. If your quilt has borders then a victory lap is not necessary.
All quilts should be pressed/ironed well from the front. Backing and batting must be squared up and measure 8 inches longer and wider than the quilt top (4 inches all the way around). Please measure your quilt top, batting, and backing to make sure everything is the right size. It really helps me get your quilts back in a timely manner.
Fleece or minky backing must measure 10 inches longer and wider than the quilt top AND all seams must run horizontal respective to the quilt top. Please note I do not piece or trim any minky fabrics in my studio.
Please read my FAQ page if you have more questions or send me a text and I'll get back to you on my next studio work day.
Additional Services
I'm happy to piece your backing for you. The first seam is free. Additional seams are $10 each. Please note, I do not pattern match a printed fabric.
I offer batting (Hobbs Heirloom 80/20 blend), 96-inches wide, for $12 per yard or 120-inches wide, for $16 per yard.
I am happy to prepare binding with your fabric and attach to one side (with machine) for $.10 per linear inch or both sides (with machine) for $.20 per linear inch. Please send yardage for binding, do not prepare your binding ahead of time if you are having me bind your quilt.
Next Steps
If you are local, please text me to set up a time to bring your project in. I will get back to you on my next studio work day. These appointments take about 15 minutes. We can look at quilting motifs and thread colors together in my studio.
You may also drop off your quilt (for edge-to-edge quilting only please) at Leavenworth Quilt Company. Please make sure to include your name, contact information, and quilt design ideas when you drop off your quilt.
If you are outside of Central Washington or want to ship your quilt to me for edge-to-edge longarming you can also text me or, if you prefer, send me an email with the following information:
-
"Longarm Quilting Request" In The Subject Line
-
All quilt details (size of quilt top, back, and batting) plus quilting ideas and thread color requests plus anything else you think I should know.
-
All of your personal details - name, address, and cell phone number for texts
Once I receive your information, I will send you an email or text with several quilting motif and thread options for you to choose from based on your specified preferences. When we have finalized everything, you will ship your quilt to me. I will notify you when it arrives and I tuck it in to my studio. When your quilt is finished, I will send you an invoice for services plus return shipping. I will ship your quilt once payment is processed. Please note that I do not take custom quilting requests by mail.
