Grateful Comfort Quilt Pattern
This listing is for a printed copy of Grateful Comfort Quilt Pattern by Jill Therriault of Stitching In Heels.
This historical, authentic reproduction pattern allows you to replicate this quilt from the exclusive Hartsfield Family Slave Quilt collection owned by Jim Tharpe. Grateful Comfort is the second quilt in a series of reproduction patterns created by the partnership between Jill Therriault and Jim Tharpe that are inspired by the original historic collection. A portion of all sales goes toward the preservation of the historic quilts.
The original 1860's quilt was hand pieced as a traditional Hexagonal Pineapple block in a Y-seam setting. This pattern is designed for machine sewing using a hexagonal ruler for trimming the final blocks and Y-seam construction for the rows. The pattern includes a small hexi applique on the solid blocks using the method of your choice. It is intermediate to advanced piecing level.
